Safeguarding is the responsibility of all adults and especially those working or volunteering with children.
At Lift Shafton, we take safeguarding very seriously. We have been awarded the Incyte Platinum Plus award for safeguarding which we are very proud of. It shows the quality of safeguarding in our school. We have a policy which clearly sets out how we guard everyone's safety in school including worries or concerns we have about religious radicalisation and FGM.
Please click on the links below to read our policies. You are welcome into school at any time to see the policies in print and to talk through any issues, worries and concerns you may have about keeping children safe in school. We have very strong partnerships with the Barnsley Council social care team.
Our named safeguarding lead is Miss D Tallant.
Our named deputy safeguarding lead is Mrs J Charalambous.
As well as these named people we have many staff who are also fully trained so there will always be someone to help you.
